Hello! I’m Amanda Rehagen, a web designer in the Kansas City area with expertise in HTML/CSS, WordPress and social media management across a number of platforms.

Currently, I work for Townsend Communications, where in 2014 I oversaw the redesign of the MyMajors website, implementing a more modern and responsive design based on the Bootstrap framework. As part of that project, I also developed new templates for lead generation emails. And in 2015, I spearheaded the redesign of the WordPress website for KC Studio, a magazine advocating for the arts in Kansas City. In addition to overhauling the look of the website and implementing an improved calendar plugin, I developed a comprehensive social media marketing plan and calendar. I was also responsible for the redesign of the Creative Outlook website, a MyMajors product targeting arts schools and programs and developed a social media marketing plan/schedule for their yearly cover contest.

Prior to my work on these products, I designed the website for a small non-profit arts agency, Chameleon Arts and Youth Development, and helped develop a social media plan. In 2006-07, I was a member of the organizing committee for the Southern Graphics Council Conference in Kansas City, designing the website in collaboration with the graphic design coordinator. I have also worked as a freelancer, developing WordPress child themes for blogs and building websites for arts professionals.
